Slow Down
I've had 10 cold sores in less than a month.... it got so bad that the virus went into my nervous system and one side of my face went numb. I had lesions down the back of my throat and up my nose, I've just got full feeling back in my face. The numbness started all of a sudden, I thought I was having a stroke. On top of that, I've had no energy and I have a lipid cyst on my eye, apparently my eyes are very dry, one of the downsides of living in Doha. The fact that the cold sore virus spread up my nose, down my throat and up my face into my nervous system can also be aircon related the doctor stressed.
My blood sugar was high, but then when re-tested it was ok, I have to go back in three months. I'm slightly deficient in vitamin B12, I have vitamins pills for that. I also have special eyewash, cortisone crème and antibiotic gel... this all to try and avoid lancing the darned thing.
My sister-in-law reckons I should be rubbed out and started again. She was possibly referring to both of us, she has a bad back.
Really I think I am run down because I work too many hours. I now have 26 holiday days that I need to take before the end of the year. We are all being strongly encouraged to take our days as we do not want these leftover days as a cost on next year's budget.
I've booked all but four. I'll not be in the office much for the rest of this year. I've started doing yoga twice a week, but I realised I have no core muscles, my bandas are f*%&ed!
As usual I'm digressing, I work too many hours, and as a result I have a lot of holiday days left, and as a result, I need to take said holidays.... as a result of this, it means that the days I am working will get longer and more stressful....vicious circles!
That sounds whingy, it's not. Life's pretty good, which is why I am loath to put it all on the working too many hours as I've worked too many hours for the last ten years and never had an outbreak like this. I eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink a lot (don't guffaw, it's true) and take part in as much sport activity as I can fit in, guaranteed, that should be more. There's lots going on but NJ and I are happy. He has a fab new grade 5 teacher, Mr. Brendon, lots of exciting after school activities, we have a wonderful social life, both together and separately and lots of exciting stuff to look forward to including trips to Europe (NJ two, me just one), two friend's visiting in October (separately), a couple of parties and tournaments and weekend's away before Xmas.... and as usual the sun is shining :-)
Muchly love to you all xxx
