Laryngitis
Still feeling pants after ten days and woke up this morning with a headache and fever, so finally relented and went to see the ENT doctor. Laryngitis and bacterial infection so have four lots of meds, we like to over prescribe here in Doha, but I don't do sickness well, don't have time to be sick and I need some energy, my legs are like jelly!
Apart from that life is good. Work is busy, but not as stressful as the last couple of months, projects mobilising and opportunities coming in, NJ is fine, seems to be enjoying school better than last year, swimming has started again and tomorrow he begins the mechanical and electrical engineering out of school club We have also signed him up for football on the compound twice a week, but will have to see how that goes with school work and I'm not sure he'll love it, he's always hated football, but I think he just wants to be part of the in-crowd and most boys play it to some extent. He's going to Oman again at the end of the month which is really exciting, camping on the beach at the base of the mountains. My folks arrive early on the 19th for three weeks which will be lovely and prior to that I'm in the Netherlands for a week this coming Saturday. I always put off going, but usually enjoy myself whilst I am there although have a lot of work to do when back as don't get much work done at HQ due to catching up with colleagues and we have our global sales team event next week too. I will also see one of my favourite cloggies, Marije on Saturday night so it'll be a nice trip.
A few days off when my parents are here, so hopefully not too hectic the next couple of months.
I'm missing Oktoberfest which is a shame, but not the end of the world, there's a Halloween party and Poppy Ball to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Yoga and running on hold this week, my legs are only just managing to hold me up, let alone run or bend into weird positions. I miss yoga and not sleeping (probably related) but need to get well first.
Need to rest my voice box (haha that's funny) :-)
big loves xxxxx
