Long Hot Summer
Over five months since my last post. Apologies if you read this and have been waiting, but I'm not sure who you are.......?
NJ is in the Netherlands, he left for Europe on the 10th July, and I still have 19 days to go before I can hug him again. I need to hug him again. He's probably loving not having someone constantly breathing down his neck and wanting to hug him (moi)!
We had a great time in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi together and most of the time got on very well. NJ is great company when he's being the boy I know and love. Less so when he turns into the head-spinning hormonal teenager which is to be expected at thirteen and a quarter! Overall it was an amazing trip and we had the best time.
Back at work for me now. Things are quiet as many people on holiday and summer time, the weather is calmer and the need for our systems is harder to visualise for clients. This means I have plenty to do but boring stuff mostly. Study is going well although I'm in the middle of my finance module, which happens to be my Achilles heel and fries my brain, but I'm getting there. It probably takes me three times longer than the average Joe to get to the right answers with maths but it's the way to learn. I've booked four days in Malta at Eid, because I could do with some fresh air and peace to study, it's close enough and airport transfers short so OK for four days. I looked at going home but ticket prices are horrendous.....

A few of us enjoying Kuala Lumpur and the rain.....

Then on to George Town for some amazing street art, which NJ ended up contributing to.... then Battu Ferringhi for a few nights in the Hard Rock hotel with some amazing sunsets....
