Another Whirlwind Week

Ok so it's nearly weekend! Pwhhhh, it's been another busy one and without a routine, our things, a nanny; we're all over the place.  It has been a good week mind.  NJ is settling in well at school, although he's still tired; I guess it will take some time for him to get used to getting up an hour earlier.  At least now I get to take him every day on my way to work and we have chance to chat and sing along to the radio; on the downside, it takes nearly half an hour to get there instead of five minutes.  He freely talks about school and what he has been doing now instead of my trying to pry it out of him.  I have registered him for Dutch language and culture lessons (3 hours a week on a Tuesday) and he begins basketball this afternoon (twice a week, on Saturday's also) and all being well our nanny starts on Sunday, so hopefully some structure should start to appear in our lives; I won't have to rely on my lovely friend Nic as much and things should calm down a little.

Our stuff has still not arrived and we still don't have RP's or visa's (although it's looking like there maybe movement on the labour quota approval - finally), but we are enjoying life, visiting Ikea, making friends and spending time in the sunshine when we can.

My company is close to a deal I have been working on for the last couple of months.  It's been a lot of hard work, but we are almost there! That mean's I have two projects starting in October; although once they become operational, it is less intense for BD; we still stay involved and I am the contract holder, and remain the main focal point for the client.

  1. Hi babe! Still reading your blog.. :) thanks again for sharing your stories. I'm really looking forward visiting you and Mannie. I will smuggle some chorizo and rituals into the country. I heard Corina gave birth to her son a few days ago, his name is Giel (Wendy told me). A week ago I got the chance to have a look inside my house, at first I thought it was a bit small but I think it will be a bit more spacious when I have a 'stuuker' in to brighten up my walls. Will show you some pics when I'm around. Hope you and mannie are ok and speak soon!

Lots of hugs and kisses, M

  3. M, we can't wait to see you and the chorizo :-)
Nu volgende week vakantie, dus allemaal dingen geplanned, lekker Doha verkennen xx
