The Blog of a Full Time Working Mum, Part Time MBA Student and Frequent Traveller
I'm writing a blog post for my study (not this one). I have never actually thought about how I blog, or plan it, or outline it or have ever done any of the five things it tells you to do when you Google 'how to write an awesome blog'... I don't think I actually typed 'awesome' into Google, it's not a word I would really use, it always sounds a little fake coming out of a Brit's mouth if I'm perfectly honest! Plus, it reminds me of that monotonous Lego song!! It popped up somewhere in the search engine! I'm sure double exclamation marks are not blog worthy either. Do I sound like I care? I have no idea who reads this, I can see that people from different countries read it, sometimes I get a fair few hits, but I'll be damned if I have any idea who they may be.....gimme a wave, or a high five, or a comment.
Anyway, I am back in the office after three weeks away (bar one day). I'm recovered now from feeling pretty horrible last week and back on track to being fit and healthy. Some vitamin D and a good old catch up with a friend did me the world of good Friday, followed by more of the same with a different friend yesterday. I did do plenty of study, but I'm still around a week behind. I'll get there, I can do this. I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday morning with the kid. He's such a good boy but he is such a typical almost teenager. I just want him to do better than I did and not take the long road to get to where he wants to be, wherever that may be! I don't want him to be struggling to fit in twenty hours of study a week on top of a full time fifty plus hours a week job and random travel. I'm so tired!
I'm in Dubai next week, back a week then my friends come to visit, yaaay! Then I'm back in the office a week, then Baku, then back a week then Cuba. I have no free weekends until May. I know, I know, I do it all myself although the travel puts a spanner in the works quite often, I cannot really control that.
If there's anyone under eighteen reading this, please do your very very best at school, get into a good university and buckle down. There's your whole life ahead to have fun, just spend those few early years, preparing yourself to get the best education you can so that your adult years are a little easier.
I will have four kids from tomorrow evening until Saturday night I think. My good friend Debs is being whisked away to the Maldives by her lovely husband. Happy Valentines Day 💓 I'm jealous in the nicest possible way, no-one has done anything like close to this for me before. She's whinging because rain is forecast. 😆
Whatever you're doing this week and especially on Thursday night, lots of love to you all. xx
